About the event
Who Was Rudolf Steiner?
Why is his work relevant to today’s personal, social and environmental crises?
He was trained in philosophy and science yet was also a clairvoyant. He developed a way of knowing how the world of spirit imbues both the human and natural worlds, and through that knowledge, was able to give guidelines as to how we can freely change our lives, and the life of the planet, for the better.
He discovered the profound inner connections between Eastern and Western wisdom, gave practical suggestions for a modern path of meditation, and initiated with others, many practical endeavours, including holistic approaches to education (Waldorf schools), agriculture and nutrition (biodynamics), and various healing practices.
Basically, he showed a way of leading a more loving, creative and wise way of living, out of our own free understanding.
An introductory talk, followed by discussion, given by Robert Chamberlain (former director of a Steiner community arts and education centre in Sheffield).
If there is enough interest, therecould be a fortnightly course follow-up.
